I was thinking the other day about what a great sandwich you could make by hollowing out a baguette and stuffing the filling inside. It would be more sealed and easier to eat. It would also be quite inconspicuous - to the untrained eye it would look like a plain baguette.
The problem is, its very difficult to extract the core from the bread due to its elongated shape. What is required is some kind of "baguette corer" device, which would work like an oversized apple corer. The diagram below shows how this would work:
